Defender Security Services was established in 2011 by the current owner, Ian Owen. Having worked for a small local company from 1987, then a regional company from 1990 which was then taken over by one of the largest national companies in 2000, Ian has experience in all types and sizes of electronic security systems. This experience has now been brought back to the local area. In November 2020 Caitlin Owen joined the company as an office administrator making this a real family run business.

We aim to provide all security services under one roof. As well as having one contact for all services rather than numerous providers, we can keep costs down by keeping everything together.

Since November 2017, Defender Security Services gained SSAIB accreditation (Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board) for Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Access Control, which means you are assured of installation, maintenance and repairs to the highest standard. For this reason many police forces and insurance companies recommend an SSAIB accredited company (or equivalent standard approved company). 

We are also accredited to the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS)
